For our final show of the 2005 summer season, we expanded our pallete beyond Shakespeare to take on a Shakespeare style adaptations. Previously in the summer we performed the NYC premiere of "Sweet Love Adieu" by British palywright Ryan J-W Smith and now to a local budding playwright Jon Crefeld. Jon, one of our long time actors (Much Ado About Nothing, Merchant of Venice, Richard III, Hoboken Arts and Music Festival, Stratford Showcase), penned an action drama that followed the moral journey.of a low born knight named Ulrich in 12 century Germany and his choice between allying himself the Baron von Brockel who has grown rich on the backs of it's peasants or rise to be their champion. Along the way butting heads with his long time love Nina, daughter of powerful and mysterioulsy murdered warlord and the love triangle that forms with the Baron von Murligstein, an old friend and comrade of Ulrich's.

The noblewoman Nina Von Schliss (Monica Garcia) buries her father, the renowned and feared warloard nicknamed the Old Lion in the opening scene of the show. Now a power vacuum exists her duchy between the Baron's of Brochel and Murlingstein. Pier A Park, Hoboken,NJ
Ulrich (Jon Crefeld) is reminded of Von Brochel's power by a visit from his enforcer the Blackguard (Zorikh Lequidre) and raises his sword in allegience to the Baron.
Sinatra Park, NJ.
Dirk (Joshua Macuga), Nina's brother, sneaks into Von Brochel's stronghold and chastises Ulrich (Jon Crefeld) for allying himself with the Baron acting the captain of his guard while the Baron seeks to take all of Dirk and Nina's land and power. Dirk challenges to Ulrich to ask himself who should he serve and why. Pier A Park, Hoboken, NJ
Upon hearing that Dirk Von Schliss has infiltrated his stronghold the Baron Von Brochel (Billy Weimer) arrives in Ulrich's quarters and suspects that he may be hiding him. Ullrich (Jon Crefeld) vehemently denies the charge but Brochel decides that Ulrich's connection to his enemy is too convenient and attempts to have him killed. Ulrick escapes, Van Vorst Park, Hoboken, NJ
A disguised Baron von Murligstein (Kyle Baxter) arrives in the land of Brochel to assess his enemy's intention of a possible invasion of his Barony and what he intends to do with the Nina's Barony. Sinatra Park, Hoboken, NJ
Nina (Monica Garcia) and Dirk (Joshua Macuga) unable to maintain control over their dead father's army, attempt to raise a peasant revolt agaist Baron von Brochel. Pier A Park, Hoboken, NJ
Ulrich (Jon Crefeld) and Murligstein (Kyle Baxter), old commrades from their training days, get caught up in the peasant uprising orchestrated by Dirk and Nina. They join to successfully join to over throw Von Brochel and imprison him. Nina and Ulrich plan to marry. Shipyard Park, Hoboken, NJ

On the eve of Nina's wedding to Ulrich, Murligstein (Kyle Baxter) reveals to Nina (Monica Garcia) a powerful secret. He takes her to a secret fortress that her father had build before he died and had intended for her to use to take over the entire country. He reveals that he loves her and Ulrich is unworthy of such a noble woman. Shipyard Park, Hoboken. NJ
Ulrich (Jon Crefeld) tracks down his bride and Murligstein (Kyle Baxter) to the secret fortress and fight it out, but Nina is captured by a newly escaped Von Brochel. Pier A Park, NJ
Von Brochel (Billy Weimer) having lost his Barony, men and fortune seeks nothing but revenge on him those that took him down. Above he slowly taunts Nina (Monica Garcia). Pier A Park, Hoboken, NJ
Ulrich, Murligstein and Dirk unite to defeat Von Brochel and rescue Nina. Above, having killed Von Brochel, Ulrich (Jon Crefeld) and Nina (Monica Garcia) are reunited at the end of the show as she rejects Murligstein's offer and their wedding proceeds. Shipyard Park, Hoboken, NJ
